REDDING — Two emaciated horses were seized from a home in Redding Thursday by state animal control officers, officials said. The two horses were taken from the home of Lisa Lind-Larsen, 75, of 6 Packer Brook Road. Officials from the state Department of Agriculture described the horses as "extremely underweight." Officials said the animal control officers were sent there after the department received information about the horses being underweight and kept in unsanitary stalls. No charges have been filed against Lind-Larsen. Officials said the horses were taken to the department's large animal rescue and rehabilitation facility in Niantic.
