在草原上訓馬

近日因為手廢了,花了很多時間與馬在玩地面遊戲.其中有一項,是 Free Lunge (無調馬索驅趕馬繞圈並指導馬回到主人身邊).

上個禮拜,幾乎天天在沙場上做個10分鐘 Free Lunge.今天,決定直接在他住的草原試試.效果意外地好,感覺就跟在沙場練習一樣.他完全不會因為地面的綠草或是身邊的馬群而分心.

在同樣的草原上複習 Shoulder-in 和 side pass. 同樣沒有馬索,他一樣很配合.最讓我欣慰的,是他從來沒有一點倦怠或不想繼續的態度.相反的,他一直緊跟著我,企盼我給他下達 Cue, 所以他可以立刻表現所學,前來領賞.

要找個人幫我拍個視頻給大家分享一下,我想,因為過去 R+ 的經驗,讓我的馬樂在其中.寓教於樂,對老師和學生都有正面的影響.

(My horse is quite attached to me in his stable, because he gets scratches from me (he is like a dog) but when he is out in the pasture, I became.............non existent and last on his list!!)  [em35]

I guess it is because he lives in pasture all the time. The grass does not taste as good as the goodies I have in my pocket... Ha ha ha. I bribe him into doing the work and he enjoys it... And he does not want to stop after I use up all the goodies, which is like 40 min of work. I have to say sorry to him seeing him offering all the behaviors around me, not getting any reward... poor boy!
