Hello HP: I wish to thank you from the bottom of my heart! Due to the generous sharing of your horse training experience using the clicker, I have started teaching my horses too (the very basics at this stage). I am still reading the books you recommended and although my progress is kinda slow ( I can only ride weekends) but I can see the progress of my horses and it is so wonderful to see them "think" and try to figure out ways to get the "click" and more treats. No doubt they became happier horses and less nervous. One of my horses (Ah Bo) is very smart and he can now chase after a colourful sponge ball all over the paddock like a soccer player!!!!He knows the minute he pushes the ball with his nose , he gets a click and treat!! I know this training takes tonnes of patience and hardwork but I know it is worth it. I also enjoy seeing Jose's progress with his horses and the Beagle pup. Boy did he progress fast!!! I wonder if he has to do anything else aside from riding and playing with miniature horses!!!!?chuckle chuckle! Thanks again.Your horse is indeed a happier horse and a cute one too! And I can see he enjoys his freedom. [em41]
