HONG KONG EQUESTRIAN JUMPING TEAM TO COMPETE IN THE CSIO* TOKYO
Three Hong Kong Equestrian Federation riders, JC Leung, Jennifer Lee and Jacqueline Lai, will set off to compete in an international equestrian jumping competition, CSIO* (1star level) on March 7 and 8, 2009 in Japan Racing Association Equestrian Park, Tokyo. CSIO* Tokyo is an international jumping competition organized by Japan Equestrian Federation under FEI Rules. This competition comprises a Team Competition, CSIO*, with a maximum height of 1.20 meters on the first day and an Individual Competition with a maximum height of 1.30 meters on the second day. Riders must compete with borrowed horses. Eight nations (or regions) namely China, Hong Kong , Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and the host nation – Japan, have been invited by the organizer to take part in this competition. “The role of Chef d’ Equipe to CSIO* Tokyo plays great significance, I think. Hong Kong riders will be competing with many riders of high standard but I have full confidence in the Hong Kong team looking forward to receiving the challenge.” said Nick Rodgers, Chef d’ Equipe of the Hong Kong Team.
