香港馬術運動員出戰東京國際馬術場地障礙賽

三名香港馬術總會運動員 -- 梁澤昌、李明華及賴楨敏, 將代表香港出戰二零零九年三月七日及八日在東京馬事公園舉行的國際馬術場地障礙賽(CSIO*)。

今次的國際賽事屬一星級別，由日本馬術總會主辦，分為團體賽及個人賽。第一天舉行的團體賽障礙高達一點二零米，而第二天舉行的個人賽障礙更高達一點三零米。全部賽事均按照國際馬術聯合會的賽例執行，參賽者必須策騎當地馬匹。

中國、香港、南韓、馬來西亞、菲律賓、台灣、泰國及主辦單位 --日本等八個國家（地區）獲得邀請參賽。

香港領隊駱傑士表示：「為港隊領軍出征意義重大。雖然是次比賽高手如雲，但我對香港隊有絶對信心，相信他們會遇強越強，突破難關。」

HONG KONG EQUESTRIAN JUMPING TEAM TO COMPETE IN THE CSIO* TOKYO

Three Hong Kong Equestrian Federation riders, JC Leung, Jennifer Lee and Jacqueline Lai, will set off to compete in an international equestrian jumping competition, CSIO* (1star level) on March 7 and 8, 2009 in Japan Racing Association Equestrian Park, Tokyo.

CSIO* Tokyo is an international jumping competition organized by Japan Equestrian Federation under FEI Rules. This competition comprises a Team Competition, CSIO*, with a maximum height of 1.20 meters on the first day and an Individual Competition with a maximum height of 1.30 meters on the second day. Riders must compete with borrowed horses.

Eight nations （or regions） namely China, Hong Kong , Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and the host nation – Japan, have been invited by the organizer to take part in this competition.

“The role of Chef d’ Equipe to CSIO* Tokyo plays great significance, I think. Hong Kong riders will be competing with many riders of high standard but I have full confidence in the Hong Kong team looking forward to receiving the challenge.” said Nick Rodgers, Chef d’ Equipe of the Hong Kong Team.

香港馬術隊於東京報捷

好消息!香港馬術隊於本年三月七日及八日在東京舉行的國際馬術場地障礙賽 – 隊際賽(CSIO*)獲取第四名。憑著精湛技術及豐富經驗，三位本港騎手 - 賴楨敏、梁澤昌及李明華分別以低罰分而擊敗其餘四隊騎手。
於隊際賽中獲取零罰分的賴楨敏代表香港在第二天舉行的個人賽中發揮穩定水平而奪得第十一名。我們在此祝賀各隊員於賽事中的出色表現並期待他們於下次比賽中取得更卓越的成績。

Hong Kong Equestrian Team became the Third Runner-up in Jumping CSIO1* Tokyo Date: 2009-03-10

Congratulations to our Equestrian Team! The Hong Kong Team came fourth out of eight teams in 14th Asian Show Jumping CSIO1* Tokyo – Team Event held on 7th and 8th March. Jacqueline jumped a double clear followed by JC with 8 faults in the first round and 4 faults in the second. For Jennifer, unfortunately luck was not on her side as she got the least experienced horse and had 12 faults in the first and 20 faults in the second round.

Jacqueline, the youngest rider in the Team was chosen to compete for Hong Kong in the Individual Competition the next day and has eventually come 11th out of 15.

Well done to all of them as they rode so well and have actually won back their entry fee!
