You need to know shaping and your horse needs to have experience in shaping, then the method of positive reinforcement can work. In addition, how do you catch the behavior when your horse does the right thing without a marker?
One story: pigeons are sent to the lab room where they needs to "push the box" underneath a target and then "stand up on the box" to touch the target before it gets the reward. Pigeons without any experience can never finish the task. Pigeons that learned "the meaning of the marker", "to push the box" and "to touch the target" separately can easily combine these behaviors and creatively finish the task.
There're lots of things to consider. It is not just "大大的獎勵".
