Jasmine had 8 penalties in the first round and 4 penalties in the second round totaling 12 penalties. She was finally ranked 17th overall among 29 competitors.  ‘I believe everyone chosen to compete in this event is very happy at being able to ride in such a prestigious event' Jasmine said.  'As Pierre de Frédy, Baron de Coubertin, the founder of the modern Olympic Games, said, ‘‘The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle.’’ Being part of the Games definitely has brought memories that I will treasure, not only of being able to compete in the first Youth Olympic Games but also of being able to meet friends in the equestrian sport from so many different countries.’ Sacha Eckjans, Secretary of the Hong Kong Equestrian Federation said, ‘To be qualified to compete at the YOG was not easy as the athletes had undergo an arduous training process. Throughout this, Jasmine has tried her best and has been rewarded with a team silver medal for Hong Kong. We are thrilled with her achievements. The experiences Jasmine has had at YOG will definitely help her in the world-class events in the future.’
